First Impressions :
Tremaine : i thought of it as something that was only looked at as bad if it applies to you.
Ashley : i thought of it as something that kids do.
Kimberly : i just thought snitching was snitching. if you told on anything it was snitching.
After Watching The Video :
Tremaine : i actually dont agree with him because he was contradicting himself. he said " so if yu were to snitch to reduce crime thats snitching but if its to protect yourself it isnt" , but either way youre still getting somebody in trouble.
Ashley : i somewhat agree with him because if you snitch to reduce your sentence time youre throwing somebody under the bus to benifit yourself but if you snitch on a drug dealer or something you trying to protect yourself and your surroundings.
Kimberly : i agree with him basically because some things that people snitch on is neccessary and other things are to just get themselves out of a situation.
Discussion:
we all somewhat agree with what he said. we feel that he made some very good point but they are a little questionable.

The Code Of Silence
Andrea: Well I totally agree with what Rhymefest said. I felt the way he did before I even watched the clip on VladTv. He spoke about how people in modern day dont really know what snitchin is. It just turned into something everyone says just because. He said that if a dope dealer was dealing drugs in front of his house and he calls the police, it doesnt mean he's snitchin. When you and another person did something bad together and you get caught and blame it in them. well thats snitchin, and i agree. He asked "Who do you go to?". Overall People dont know who the enemy is. The enemy is the person sticking the gun in your mouth and bringing drugs in your community.
Kyle: I agree with what Rhymefest was saying about snitching. The way I see it is that back then peole would never snitch if the crime was very bad but now people say never snitch about anything no matter how big or little the situation. One thing I realize is that alot of things happen to good people and wit no one wanting to snitch it gets worse. I think everyone should get together and make sure nothing happens in their community. Do to no one reporting the situation it could lead to further problems. I think people should break the code of silence.
Kiante: Well personally I agree with the majority of what Rhymefest said on VladTv. But there were some points that he made that I did'nt agree with for example when he said snicthin in some cases is good. I think snitchin period is bad but I do believe in doing the right thing. For example telling the police about a trap house is doing the right thing in my eyes.
Group disscussion: Kiante made a valid point that snitchin is when you tell on someone because you benifit from it, but its a diffrence between snitching and doin the right thing. Doing the right thing is making sure the neighborhood is safe and protect your family by any means neccesary. Kyle felt that people are snitching now just to be snitching, and not really knowing back the they said not to snitch because the crimes were worse probably. He also said you have to know what to report if its a family member you have to report and its not snitching its doing the right thing. Well Andrea was saying that we need protection in our communities so therefore we wouldnt have anymore so called "snitching". So overall we all feel that most of the points Rhymefest made we agreed upon, but kiante didnt agree with all. Also that its a dffrence between doing the right thing and snitching. People dont understand that.
SNITCHIN'-The Truth
We watched a video by a rapper named Rhymefest talking about snitchin'....Here are the thoughts of three of the youths who saw the video.
Courtney- I liked the video and the message. He just keep everything real. I personally dont snitch ever because thats what I was taught to do growing up.Rhymefest made a good point when he said that what we think is snitchin, really isn't. Snitchin' is when you sell someone else out, not when you are protecting yourself. I used to think snitchin' was telling anything at all, I now realize what it truly is. He also made a good point in saying that we need to know who our enemy is. Well, i know mine. =)
-Antweezy- I really liked the video by the rapper Rhymefest. It felt like everything he was say'n was the truth. I believe snitches do get snitches. If yu goin around tell'n evrybodys business yu deserve some type of punishment. & iDo believe the police is the enemy bcus iThink they are against the black race & they will do anythin to bring us down!!!!
MAURICE- I think the video of rapper Rhymefest is understanding. I used to be one of the people that used to think that snitchin was just a person that tell any & every thing but i see that for along time that we was each other enemy but it really the P.O i believe this becouse it still alot of b.s & the hood with the police here so it no point of havn them.....( it time to police are own hood )
GROUP - WE ALL FEEL THAT RAPPER RHYMEFEST HAD A POINT & IF THE POLICE IS HERE & WE STILL SEE NO CHANGE. IT TIME TO TURN BACK TO EACH OTHER TO POLICE ARE HOOD FOR A BETTER PLACE FOR US & SOON TO BE OTHERS
